Our founder

Andrea Ercolessi is an entrepreneur backed by a successful business story in connecting supply and demand for limited edition goods. Driven by the value of freedom and scarcity of time, he began automating his company's operations which led to a massive improvement in his venture and personal well being. Seeking to make it easier for himself to find purpose in a meaningful lifestyle where work aligns with passion, he set on a mission to help others leverage their way up to success as businesses providing value to society and as human beings in finding self-realisation.

Our story - Letter from the founder

"I remember the days when i was bootstrapping my first company and i couldn't really relate to being an entrepreneur as much as being an employee of my own business. My work schedule was a mess and it quickly started devouring all the little moments i had available to pursue my personal interests or to spend time with my loved ones. The worst part is that i was spending most of my work day doing repetitive things i felt i wasn't even good at, nor i disposed of the resources to size up my team to escape the rat race i was getting caught up with to keep up the day to day operations. I used to believe this was the standard and if i wanted to make it big i had to go through an endless loop of boring tasks until i would burn out.

Then something happened. When Chat GPT came out, i had the intuition that everything was just about to change, i wasn't sure how long it would have taken, yet i could see a door full of opportunities opening up. I started setting up systems to replicate my operations in a way that even a robot could understand. Early days it was just basic RPA until GPT-4 was released and allowed to enter a whole new world for automation, taking on tasks that weeks before were just considered impossible. I started to realise that almost any tasks ran from a computer could have been taken on by AI and things were only going to keep getting better and better. I managed to automate 70% of my company and got back in the role of leader again focusing on the most impactful decision making and team management. I could finally fit in my day training, spending time with friends and family, reading books and getting enough sleep (that's a big one), leading to a huge improvement in my health metrics and overall well being. I started travelling around the world as the last step to achieve my dream lifestyle, which I am still doing as I am writing this memorandum for you from a sandy beach in Maldives.

Since then I have visited dozen of countries and met people from different cultures and with all sort of jobs and ventures, yet noticing a common pattern: everyone had to some extent repetitive tasks they were not happy to take on, more like they had to. I was happy with my life, but I couldn't stop thinking of how much deciding to onboard AI to automate my business had contributed to it. I realised I could have the privilege to help others with the same and contribute to society with something meaningful to me. That's how King of Automation was born and what it stands for, a means to improve people's work/life balance and set them up with the technology to achieve all their goals. I hope if you are reading this, it has inspired you just enough to take action for yourself and everyone you care for.
